I am sixty years old and my husband
is almost 59. I remember the
garage party days when your music
was played. It was a experience!
And it hasn't changed.
I am very proud that you have
remained a group after so many
decades. It just demonstrates that
people can LEARN to get along and
work together, egos aside.
Thank you for remaining together
and blessing us with such a
good-sounding legacy of music.
Thank you!!

I am 47 years old and have been a fan of The Dells since I was 8 years old. I can still remember the first time I heard "Stay In My Corner", and your second recording of, "Oh What A Night" Your beautiful harmonies and Charles Stepney's gorgeous arrangements still give me chills even today. Which brings me to another subject: Charles Stepney. I'd love to one to day, bring this unsung hero's life and story to the masses, but I don't know where to begin since there isn't much information available on him, and add to it, the fact that I am a complete amateur at this sort of thing. However, I won't let it stop me, because his story must be told, and I'd love to someday meet you all, to talk with you about your experience with working with this great master of music. What a treat that would be. My name is Eva and email address is allears60@yahoo.com
Thank you so much for many years of great, great music! God bless!
I am 58 years old and a native of Chicago's East Chatham neighborhood. I like the popular songs of the Dells, but I also like the obscure ones. I had "If it Ain't One thing It's Another" and the flip "Hi Diddley Dee Dum Dum." I emailed my 45's to my brother in Palms Springs. All got there in one piece, except one.
I almost died.
I am still a fan of the singing of the Dells, but I was a bit disappointed of the language on the concert DVD. I wish I had known the contents or had an alternative of getting an edited version, or at least a warning that the language was explicit or raw. I'm sure there are many fans who would have not been offended, but I was and I also allow my children, grand children, and great grandchildren to feel free to listen and watch anything in my home.
But, I want to say, thanks for the music. And if anyone has not heard "If it Ain't One thing It's Another" and the flip "Hi Diddley Dee Dum Dum," try to find and hear them. Those songs are pure and mighty Dells.
Hello, I'm from Washington D.C. and I grew up on your music. There was a song I've been trying to find but I'm not having any luck finding it. It wasn't a song they played on the radio but it was on one of your albums. The name of the song is "Do what you gotta do" or something like that. I would pay top dollar for that album or song.
Where can I find The Song "WHITER SHADE of PALE" song by the DELLS

R.I.P JOHN, you will be missed but never forgotten!
God added another great voice to his HEAVENLY CHOIR
Hello there:
As a child, when my parents had stopped buying records, my sister and I played the Dells albums and that's how I became a fan.
The Dells are one of the greatest groups in music history!
Johnny Carter was one of greatest singers of all times. I am not only very familiar with the Dells music but also music of the Flamingos to which Johnny was a member. For those of you who do not know, that's Johnny Carter's falsetto voice on the Flamingos
50s hit "I Only Have Eyes For You. Johnny Carter will live forever in our hearts and his awesome voice will certainly be missed!!!
Another great voice added to the heavenly choir is Johnny Carter. I am one of the biggest fans of the Dells/The Ambassadors. I've been trying to find "Witchita Lineman" made by the Dells from the Love Is Blue album. Can you help?

I think you may be referring to the Four Tops version "do what you gotta do" - also a great version done by Al Wilson - i still have the 45 of it.
